TBD Devastator 1/48 Project
A challenge has been layed down in the form of an interesting project:

Douglas TBD
Create a 1/48 master wing pattern for the Monogram 1/48 Douglas TBD Devastator. The TBD has ribbed wings that wrap the leading edge of the wing, this full scale design has frustrated modelers in scale due to the resulting seam when constructing the model kit. The upper and lower halves of the Monogram kit leave behind a seam that needs to be filled, which is very time-consuming and difficult due to the aforementioned ribbed design on the airfoil.
The plan :
Find a Monogram 1/48 kit (a donor has offered if I can’t land my own)
Reconstruct the wing from either scratch or modifying the exisitng wing.
Find a producer for casting if proves popular enough, two come to mind although they are armor-centric
w.i.p.
