How about incorporating the OMSA (OpenManage Server Assistant) into the DRAC module ?
Having OMSA on board with the DRAC would abstract the tools from the Operating System and alleviate driver, dependency and overhead issues.
I can only dream…

Theory -
Similar to memcached what about stacking out fat frames over the wire(network) on a long hop – cpu, mem.. more to come
